Dcon has a poison in packets.. you put the packets in the back of the cabinets under the kitchen sink( they love to use the openings around drains to get into the house).. they take the poison back to their nest and I have had to use it twice and they were gone in a few days. I have baited traps with peanut butter.. We caught a HUGE rat in that one.. freaked me out! but we haven't had a problem since! Also if your in a house check all the vents around the house if the screens are broken fix them that will stop them from getting in.. we live near a freeway so they get in every few year but the first time it was just a couple of grey fieldmice.. the rat was just scarey!(we live near a grocery store.. figure that is where they came from). What's the best way to get rid of mice?
buy a cat and dont feed it too much. seriously, i mean you gotta feed it, but get one that likes to catch miceWhat's the best way to get rid of mice?
the old fashioned mouse traps that snap the mouse...it gets kinda violent at times but it works best...dont get the glue traps that make the mouse stick to them, all you will find on them are mouse tracks. they dont work. we had mice a couple of months ago and we rid of all of them with those old fashioned traps. the glue ones were a waste of money.
i hate to say it .....(see my name)...get a cat or two.
sorry...couldn't resist. but honestly..i have cats (daaaa) and no rodents, bugs, etc.
good luck.
I use a trap, use a piece of panty hose with a little peanut butter in it and attack to trap, when they pull it will kill them. Or you can get the sticky traps, I hate those because the mouse is so cute and they are still alive and I feel sorry for them. Poison is not a good idea since they usually crawl some where and die and you house will stink.
Or get a cat.
The very best way is to buy the sticky pad type of mouse traps. Just place them where the mice are running and that will do it. Once the mouse gets on the pad he's stuck the harder he tries to get off the more he's stuck to the pad. They die of heart failure.
Ultrasonic devices work. They emit a frequency that cannot be heard by humans, but mice and rodents find annoying, and uninhabitable. (They're ok for cats and dogs, but not if you have hamsters, etc...)
I've used predatorpee - Bobcat urine. This works awesome! I haven't had a rodent problem in over 10 years...and we live in an old farmhouse!
All natural - doesn't kill the mice - just discourages them to leave because they think there is a big ol' cat hunting them!
