I've seen some videos on youtube of leos eating pinkies. I know its just for breeding females or when they're skinny but can you give it to leos once every two months or so? as a fatty treat? my gecko is about 5 and a half inches long can i feed her new born pinkies? if not then how old do leopard geckos have to be to eat a pinky? Can leopard geckos eat pinky mice?
Definately not a good idea. Pinkies are extremely hard to digest because of the bones, and will most likely lead to an impaction. Leos of any age shouldn't be fed pinkies.
Silkworms are a great alternative, very high nutritional value and will fatten any breeding female up in no time! Can leopard geckos eat pinky mice?
A full grown leopard gecko CAN eat one, but shouldnt be fed one.
I would say no. I have one, and I definatly would not feed him pinky mice.
It's perfectly alright to feed pinkies to your gecko occasionally. They are easy to digest, and their bones are mostly cartilage at this age.
